Blue Archive Update Notice: New Characters, Events, and Rewards

Get ready for a major update in Blue Archive! On **August 6, 2024**, the game will undergo maintenance from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM (UTC), bringing a plethora of exciting new content, including a new Pick-Up Recruitment featuring **Serina (Christmas)**, **Hanae (Christmas)**, Chihiro, Sena, and Mine. Players can look forward to new story chapters, events, and rewards, including Pyroxene x 600, claimable from the mailbox after maintenance until **August 13, 2024**.

This update is packed with new content, including the Main Story Vol. 1 Foreclosure Task Force Chapter 3 “Traces of a Dream” Prologue (Ep. 1) update, as well as the return of the Event Story: The Cathedral’s Merry Christmas: Remedial Knights’ Gift. Additionally, players can participate in the Joint Firing Drill – (Defense Drill) event and the Grand Assault – KAITEN FX Mk.0 (Field Warfare) event.

1. Student Recruitment

– For information about probabilities, visit In Game → Recruit → Rate Info at the bottom left of each Recruitment area.
– During Pick-Up Recruitment, you can use Recruitment Points for Selective Acquisition of Pick-Up students.

– When the Pick-Up Recruitment ends, Recruitment Points are converted to Keystone Pieces at a 1:1 ratio and sent to your mailbox.

🔹 Event Details

* Clear Mission (Normal) 2-3 to participate in The Cathedral’s Merry Christmas: Remedial Knights’ Gift event.

* When the event ends, unused event currencies are changed to Credit Points on a 1:1 ratio and sent to your mailbox.

Story

– Clear Stories to earn various rewards, like Pyroxenes and event currency.

– Once you clear the event story, you can re-watch the unlocked episodes in the Story menu below.

 

Quests

– Clear Quests to earn various rewards, like Credit Points and Artifacts.

 

Challenges

– Challenges open 8/6 (Tue) 7:00 PM (UTC).

– Event Challenges only have 3 and First Clear Rewards, and will not grant additional rewards for clearing more than once.

 

Specialized Student Effects

– Specialized Students grant bonuses for each event currency.

Go to Specialized Student → Event Currency in the event screen to view details.

– The Specialized Effect applies to stages in both Story and Quests.

– Specialized Effects are only applied to repeat rewards.

– Once a Specialized Effect is applied, it is permanently applied on that stage. The effect also applies to Sweeps.

 

Prize Exchange

– Clear Stories and Quests to obtain event currency you can exchange for items in the Exchange House.

– Each round has a set number of prizes you can get, which are marked as “Remaining”.

– For Prize Exchange Rounds 1–6, you can immediately refresh the event prize lineup once you get every item (pink boxes).

– After Prize Exchange Round 7, all items must be earned before you can immediately refresh to reset the prize.

 

Shop

– You can trade event currencies you earn from Story and Quest stages for items in the event shop.

– You’ll get different rewards depending on how many Event Points you earn.

 

Tasks

– Clear Event Tasks to earn Pyroxenes and Credit Points.

 

4. Event Recap: Schale’s HappyValentine Patrol & Kosaka Wakamo’s Silence and Feast Immortalized

– The Event Story, Schale’s Happy  Valentine Patrol & Kosaka Wakamo’s Silence and Feast, will be added to Event Recap after 8/13 (Tue) 2:00 AM (UTC) and will be available on a regular basis.

* You can play the Event Story in Event Recap once you clear Mission 2-3 (Normal).

* You can proceed to Kosaka Wakamo’s Silence and Feast event through the Change Event button after clearing Schale’s Happy  Valentine Patrol Event Stage 01 “D.U. Zone 135”.

* You can clear Story Stages and get first time rewards from regular Event Stories, though some content may be restricted.

* Immortalized Event Stories will be a common occurrence in future updates.

Defense Drill Details

 

①  Drill Summary

– Each Joint Firing Drill consists of 3 Defense Drills. Your total score is the combined scores from the 3 Defense Drills.

– Drill scores are calculated based on the number of stages you clear.

– Choose 1 of 4 stages. You can clear the same stage more than once.

– Students used in previous battles cannot be assigned to the same drill again.

However, if you attempt a battle and do not clear it, you can try again with the same students.

 

 How to Participate

– Use 1 Drill Ticket to begin the drill.

– You can receive up to 3 Drill Tickets every day at 7:00 PM (UTC).

– Unused tickets do not roll over.

Example: If you already have 2 tickets before the daily recharge, it will only recharge to 3, not 5.

 

Drill Time Restrictions

– The total drill time is 1 hour, and you can complete the drill up to 3 times until time is up.

– If the 1 hour runs out before you complete the drill 3 times, you will automatically exit the drill, and your score will be calculated based on your progress up to that point.

– Even if the game exits due to network problems or other issues, you can always re-enter the Joint Firing Drill as long as it is within the time limit.
 

Rewards

– You will earn Joint Firing Drill Coins and Credit Points based on the total of your 3 scores.
 

Sweep

– When you use 1 Drill Ticket to sweep, you will earn Joint Firing Drill Coins and Credit Points based on the day’s top score.

– Sweep is only available once, and only on the same day the drill was cleared.

 

Quitting

– Your reward will be based on your score when you quit.

 

Mock Battle

– You can practice before you use a Drill Ticket, but you won’t earn a reward.

 

6. Grand Assault – KAITEN FX Mk.0 (Field Warfare)

 

Devise unique strategies to overcome the different defense types deployed by KAITEN FX Mk.0!

– Defeat the Grand Assault boss during the event to earn a Total Points Reward and Rank Reward.

 

Terrain, Attack Type (Insane and Torment Only)

– Field Warfare / Piercing

* All 3 defense types are available in Insane difficulty. Only Light Armor is available in Torment difficulty.

* Other than the defense-type difficulties, boss info, and specs are the same as in Total Assault.

 

Participation Requirements

– Clear Normal Mission 4-5

 

Grand Assault Ticket Reset Time

– One Grand Assault ticket is distributed every day at 7:00 PM (UTC) for each defense type. You can own up to 7 tickets at a time.

– It costs 1 Grand Assault Ticket per defense type to enter, and you will have 1 hour to clear the boss.

– While you are fighting a boss of a certain defense type, you cannot begin a fight with a boss of a different defense type.

– Even if you lose, you can re-enter during the 1-hour time period and continue fighting.

– You can re-enter at any time within the time limit without having to use additional Grand Assault tickets.

– Even if the game closes during battle due to network or other issues, you will still be able to continue Grand Assault during the given time limit.

– Once the 1-hour time limit has passed, you cannot re-enter. The score will be calculated based on the boss’s remaining HP, and you won’t receive the Boss Clear Reward.

 

Available Difficulties

– There are 7 difficulties: Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Hardcore, Extreme, Insane, and Torment.

* Only Light Armor is available in Torment difficulty.

– You will earn Grand Assault Coins based on the difficulty you clear.

– The Sweep feature is available on cleared bosses.

Total Point Rewards

– At the end of the battle, Total Points will be determined based on the time remaining, or on the boss’s remaining HP and difficulty level.

– The faster the boss is defeated, the more Total Points you earn.

– You can earn rewards based on the accumulated Total Points you earn.

– Rank Points you earn after the end of the Grand Assault Season don’t count.

– You can’t earn Rank Points and rewards once you exceed the time limit.

Unit Formation

– You can use up to 4 units to face the Grand Assault boss.

– Update units that are unavailable for battle with unused students to utilize more units.

– Students who have participated in a battle will be listed as unavailable.

– In Grand Assault, you can use any Assistants registered in the Total Assault Assistants slot by Friends or Club Members.
