How to Get the Hamster Ball Anomaly in NTE

Learn how to unlock the Hamster Ball anomaly in NTE by obtaining Hathor, its effects, upgrade materials, and whether it’s worth your pulls.

The Hamster Ball is one of the most practical Furniture Anomalies in Neverness to Everness, but it's locked behind a specific character: Hathor. Whether you're aiming for consistent Module income or just want to fill your home with quirky decor, this anomaly offers steady progression support—provided you own the right property and are willing to invest in upgrades.

How to Unlock the Hamster Ball

The Hamster Ball anomaly is tied directly to Hathor, one of the S-Rank units available on the standard character banner. At launch, there are two reliable ways to obtain her:

  • Use your free S-Rank selector from the beginner banner (recommended if you haven't chosen yet)
  • Save Warp Pieces and purchase her directly from the Warp Exchange

Once you have Hathor, the Hamster Ball furniture becomes available in your housing menu. However, there's an important catch: it can only be placed in Eden Apartments or Skyview Halls. If you don't own either property, you won't be able to deploy the anomaly until you purchase one. Residential properties are expensive (millions of Fons), but you can earn currency quickly by completing Pink Paw Heist runs. Hamster Ball Anomaly Effects

Unlike stat-boosting or convenience-focused anomalies, the Hamster Ball serves as a daily source of Modules—the Tetris-style blocks you slot into your Console to improve character stats.

  • Default behavior: Produces one Module per day, with a 20% chance to drop a Purple-grade Module
  • Upgrade potential: Increases the odds to 60% Purple / 40% Gold when fully upgraded

To upgrade the Hamster Ball, you need Little Melon Seeds. Navigate to the Anomaly Furniture menu in your house, select the Hamster Ball, then click the Little Melon Seed icon. This will display the locations of Haunted Vending Machines you can defeat for seed drops.

Is the Hamster Ball Worth Getting?

If you're aiming to min-max character progression, the answer is a solid yes—but only if you already have Hathor or plan to use your free selector on her. Keep in mind:

  • One extra Module per day is a modest gain; if you're unlucky with RNG, it won't dramatically accelerate your account
  • Hathor also auto-completes delivery jobs, making her a strong utility character beyond the anomaly
  • She pairs well with Jiuyuan or Sakiri for AoE damage in Ghost Train stages

For F2P players who don't have Hathor yet, there's no need to panic. The Hamster Ball is convenient but not game-changing. Since Hathor is a standard banner character, you'll eventually get her through normal pulls. When that happens, the Hamster Ball will be waiting.

Summary

The Hamster Ball anomaly is a steady, low-effort source of Modules, especially valuable for players who want passive progression. It requires Hathor, a specific property, and a modest farming loop for upgrade materials. For those who can meet the prerequisites, it's a worthwhile addition to your housing setup. If you're still waiting on Hathor, don't stress—she'll come in time, and the anomaly will be a nice bonus when she does.
