Level Infinite has issued a security advisory for GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE following a PC launcher incident. Commanders who launched the Windows PC client at least once since 2026-09-27 15:41 (UTC+9) are urged to perform a manual security check and remove any identified malicious program. The mobile version was not affected, so mobile-only players need not take action. For ongoing coverage, visit the latest goddess-of-victory-nikke updates.

Who Needs to Act

The advisory applies specifically to the Windows PC launcher. If you have not installed the launcher, or if you only play on mobile, no additional measures are required. The official notice states the incident was limited to the PC launcher and did not affect the mobile client.

If you are unsure whether you launched the PC client after the cutoff, the safest approach is to run the check anyway. The process is manual and does not require reinstalling the game.

Step-by-Step Security Check

Before starting, disconnect your PC from the network and completely close NIKKE, the PC launcher, and Google Chrome. Check the system tray to ensure no NIKKE icon remains. Do not relaunch the launcher until the check is complete.

1. Locate the Launcher Log

Right-click the NIKKE desktop icon and select Open file location. Navigate to:

  • Launcher\intl_service\debug.log
  • Example: C:\NIKKE\Launcher\intl_service\debug.log
  • Example: C:\NIKKE_GOOGLE\Launcher\intl_service\debug.log

2. Search the Log

Open debug.log with Notepad, press Ctrl + F, and search for the string:

  • k2f_chan registered

If the string appears, there is a possibility that a malicious program was executed. Continue with the removal steps below. If it does not appear, this does not completely rule out risk; update your antivirus and run a full system scan.

Removing the Identified Malicious Program

The following steps involve editing the registry and deleting files. Check each path carefully and avoid deleting unrelated items.

3. Delete the Abnormal Registry Entry

  1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and select OK.
  2. Paste HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Locate the entry named {E77CC89B-7401-4C04-8CED-149DB35ADD04}.
  4. If it exists, right-click and select Delete. Delete only this entry at this exact path.

4. Restart Your PC

After deleting the registry entry, restart Windows before proceeding.

5. Delete the Abnormal DLL File

  1. Press Win + R, paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\, and press Enter.
  2. Inside the PlatformExperienceHelper folder, check for a subfolder whose name is exactly 64 hexadecimal characters (0–9, a–f) and that contains a file named platform_experience_helper.dll.
  3. Only if both conditions are met, delete that 64-character subfolder. Do not delete the entire PlatformExperienceHelper folder, as it may contain legitimate Chrome files.

If the PlatformExperienceHelper folder does not exist, the abnormal DLL was not installed; proceed to the next step.

6. Delete the Abnormal Download File

Open Launcher\log\tinyget in the NIKKE launcher installation directory. Look for a file that is 205,135 bytes (approximately 200 KB) with a name like tinyget.<date>-<time>.log. Delete any file matching these conditions. If none exists, move on.

7. Delete the Launcher Local Cache

Press Win + R, paste %APPDATA%\nikke_launcher, and press Enter. Delete the entire tbs_cache folder at that path.

Account Security Check

After cleaning the PC, use a different unaffected device or complete the security check first. Then:

  • Change passwords for any accounts used on the affected PC.
  • Revoke and regenerate any API keys or access tokens stored on that machine.

System Security Scan

Update Windows Security or another trusted antivirus to the latest version, then run:

  • A full system scan with your antivirus.
  • A Windows Security Offline Scan (Microsoft Defender).

If unusual activity persists after all steps, contact NIKKE Customer Support.

Takeaway
