Banner Breakdown
Resonator Banners
Both [When Winter Thaws] and [Undefined Spectrum] are Featured Resonator Convene events requiring Radiant Tide. They follow the standard 5-Star guarantee mechanic shared across all Featured Resonator banners — if you haven't pulled a 5-Star recently, your pity carries over.
The highlighted 4-Star characters (Danjin, Chixia, Aalto) are not exclusive, but the 5-Star Resonators are. Luuk Herssen and Lynae will not be available through standard convenes or other means after the event ends. Their Wavebands — equivalent to bonus copies for resonance — are also limited-time purchases in the Afterglow Coral Store.
Weapon Banners
The two Weapon Convene events — [Daybreaker's Spine] and [Spectrum Blaster] — fall under the [Absolute Pulsation] banner system. They use Forging Tide and guarantee the featured 5-Star weapon on pity. Both weapons are exclusive to this event.
Should You Pull?
This is the first appearance of both Luuk Herssen and Lynae, so players who value collection or expect them to fit future meta may want to consider pulling. However, official kit details have not been fully disclosed at the time of writing. We only know their names, weapon types (inferred from signature weapons: Daybreaker's Spine suggests a sword/spear; Spectrum Blaster suggests a ranged weapon), and that they are limited.
For F2P players, the rule of thumb is to wait for independent analysis and gameplay impressions before committing resources. The 4-Star characters on rate-up are all established — Danjin (Havoc sword), Chixia (Fusion pistol), and Aalto (Aero handgun) — and can be acquired through other banners later.
If you are close to pity on a 5-Star Resonator, consider whether you would be happy getting either Luuk Herssen or Lynae. Since pity carries over between banners, you can also save for future patches.
Waveband purchases in the Afterglow Coral Store are valuable for whales and dolphins planning to maximize resonance. F2P players should spend corals cautiously.
Events & Rewards
During the banner period, all rate-up Resonators will be available in Ascendant Aces as trial characters. Completing these challenges yields rewards — a good way to test drive before deciding.
Pre-Patch To-Do
- Save Radiant Tide and Forging Tide currencies.
- Ensure you have enough Star Remnants? Note that these banners use Radiant Tide, so stock up on that from the shop or events.
- Complete any unfinished main quests to meet eligibility (Union Level 5 or complete First Resonance).
Day-1 Priorities
- Log in and check the Ascendant Aces trials for both new Resonators.
- Decide which banner to pull on based on your team needs and savings.
- If purchasing Wavebands, visit the Afterglow Coral Store early to avoid missing the limit.
