Zenless Zone Zero Teaser Hints at New Character

Zenless Zone Zero Drops Cryptic Teaser: What We Know

A new message from official Zenless Zone Zero channels has set the community abuzz. The dialogue, presented as an emergency call, references a character named Banyue and a medical incident. For players tracking the latest Zenless Zone Zero news, this is the first concrete hint at upcoming content since the last patch.

The teaser reads: "Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? We're in the ambulance right now—" followed by "Really, again?! What's the reason this time…" and "She passed out from standing up too quickly after hours of meditation practice with Banyue~ Huh, her fingers moved? 3, 2, 1… Rise and shine, my playmate~"

While light on specifics, the exchange suggests a new character or event centered on Banyue and a playful, possibly mischievous, dynamic. Below, we break down what's confirmed, what's speculation, and what to watch for.

At a Glance

• Official Zenless Zone Zero social channels posted a teaser dialogue mentioning Banyue.
• The message implies a character passing out after meditation and being revived.
• No patch number, release date, or gameplay details were included.
• All character and banner information remains Unconfirmed — subject to change.

Breaking Down the Teaser

The dialogue is framed as a phone call from an ambulance, with a speaker (possibly a new character) explaining that someone passed out from standing up too quickly after hours of meditation with Banyue. The line "Rise and shine, my playmate~" suggests a familiar, perhaps eerie, relationship between the speaker and the listener.

Key takeaways:

• Banyue is named directly, likely a new character or an existing one with a significant role.
• The meditation theme could point to a new area, faction, or story chapter.
• The "playmate" address hints at a character with a childlike or playful personality, though this is speculative.

Not stated in official materials: the identity of the speaker, the context of the ambulance, or any gameplay implications.

Who Is Banyue?

At the time of writing, Banyue has not been officially introduced as a playable character in Zenless Zone Zero. The name appears only in this teaser. Based on HoYoverse's typical rollout, this could be:

• A new agent scheduled for an upcoming banner.
• An NPC tied to a future story event.
• A codename or alias for an existing character.

Unconfirmed — subject to change: Community speculation suggests Banyue may be connected to the Hollow or a new faction, but no official details exist. We advise treating any leaks or datamined info with caution until HoYoverse confirms.

What This Means for Players

For now, the teaser is a marketing hook rather than a concrete announcement. Players should not expect immediate changes to banners or events based on this alone. However, it's a strong signal that new content is on the horizon.

If you're saving resources, keep an eye on official channels for the next patch stream, which typically reveals banner schedules and character kits. For F2P players, holding polychromes until a confirmed banner is wise, as the teaser does not indicate rarity or release window.

Events and Rewards: No Details Yet

The teaser did not include any event dates, rewards, or login bonuses. Not stated in official materials. As always, check in-game notices for active events and their time zones.

Unconfirmed — Subject to Change

The following points are speculative and should be treated as rumors:

• Banyue's playable status: Some community members believe Banyue will be a new S-rank agent, but this is unverified.
• Release timing: No date or patch number has been mentioned. Any claims of a specific version are unconfirmed.
• Element and faction: Nothing official has been shared.

We will update this article as more information becomes available.

Conclusion

The Zenless Zone Zero teaser is a classic HoYoverse mystery drop—enough to spark conversation but light on facts. For now, treat Banyue as a name to remember and wait for official reveals. Keep an eye on the Zenless Zone Zero hub for updates, and avoid spending resources based on speculation alone.
