Blue Archive Update Notice Summary: Get Ready for Exciting New Content
Attention all Blue Archive players, a major update is just around the corner. Scheduled for **September 3 (Tuesday) 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM (UTC)**, this update promises to bring a plethora of exciting new content to the game. During this time, players will be unable to connect to the game due to maintenance, but the wait will be well worth it.
Among the key highlights of this update are the addition of **Akari (New Year)**, a brand-new student, as well as the introduction of **Pick-Up Recruitment**, featuring **Akari (New Year)**, **Haruna (New Year)**, **Fuuka (New Year)**, **Ui**, **Hinata**, and **Sakurako**. Players can also look forward to a new **Event Story**, **Joint Firing Drill**, and **Grand Assault**, each with its own set of rewards and challenges.
But that’s not all – this update also brings new furniture, interactions, and campaigns to the game. 🔹 Event Details
* Clear Mission 2-3 (Normal) to participate in the New Year’s Aperitif event.
* When the event ends, unused event currencies are changed to Credit Points on a 1:1 ratio and sent to your mailbox.
Story
– Clear Stories to earn various rewards, like Pyroxenes and event currency.
ㄴ Clear Story – 01 Commercial District Entrance to recruit Junko (1★, New Year).
ㄴ If you already have Junko(New Year), you will receive Junko(New Year)’s Eleph x1, and Eligma x1 instead.
– Once you clear the story, you can re-watch the unlocked episodes in the Story menu.
Quests
– Clear Quests to earn various rewards, like Credit Points and Artifacts.
Challenges
– Challenges open 9/3 (Tue) 7:00 PM (UTC).
– Event Challenges only have 3★ and First Clear Rewards. Clearing Challenges more than once will not grant additional rewards.
Specialized Student Effects
– Specialized Students grant bonuses for each event currency.
ㄴ Go to Specialized Student → Event Currency in the event screen to view details.
– Specialized Effects apply to stages in both Story and Quests.
– Specialized Effects are only applied to repeat rewards.
– Once a Specialized Effect is applied, it is permanently applied to that stage. The effect also applies to Sweeps.
Shop
– You can trade event currencies you earn from Story and Quest stages for items in the event shop.
– You can get different rewards depending on how many Event Points you earn.
Tasks
– Clear Event Tasks to earn Pyroxenes and Credit Points.
Omikuji
– Use the “Omikuji Exchange Ticket” you get from the event shop.
– Choose an Omikuji to try your luck and get rewards.
4. Event Recap: The Clumsy Sister and the Magician of the Old Library Immortalized
– The Event Story “The Clumsy Sister and the Magician of the Old Library” will be added to Event Recap on 9/17 (Tue) at 2:00 AM (UTC) and will be available permanently.
* You can play the Event Story in Event Recap once you clear Mission 2-3 (Normal).
* You can clear Story Stages and get first-time rewards from regular Event Stories, though some content may be restricted.
* Immortalized Event Stories will be a common occurrence in future updates.

5. Joint Firing Drill (Escort Drill)
Welcome to the Kivotos Joint Firing Drill, Sensei!
Participate in 1 Joint Firing Drill and complete 3 Escort Drills.
The combined scores from the 3 drills will be your total score, so plan carefully to get the highest score possible.
You can trade the Joint Firing Drill Coins you earn for various items in the Shop.

Escort Drill Details
- Drill Summary
– Each Joint Firing Drill consists of 3 Escort Drills. Your total score is the combined scores from the 3 Escort Drills.
– Drill scores are calculated based on the number of stages you clear.
– Choose 1 of 4 stages. You can clear the same stage more than once.
– Students used in previous battles cannot be assigned to the same drill again.
ㄴ However, if you attempt a battle and do not clear it, you can try again with the same students.
- How to Participate
– Use 1 Drill Ticket to begin the drill.
– You can receive up to 3 Drill Tickets every day at 7:00 PM (UTC).
– Unused tickets do not roll over.
Example: If you already have 2 tickets before the daily recharge, it will only recharge to 3, not 5.
- Drill Time Restrictions
– The total drill time is 1 hour, and you can complete the drill up to 3 times until time is up.
– If the 1 hour runs out before you complete the drill 3 times, you will automatically exit the drill, and your score will be calculated based on your progress up to that point.
– Even if the game exits due to network problems or other issues, you can always re-enter the Joint Firing Drill as long as it is within the time limit.
- Rewards

– You will earn Joint Firing Drill Coins and Credit Points based on the total of your 3 scores.
- Sweep
– When you use 1 Drill Ticket to sweep, you will earn Joint Firing Drill Coins and Credit Points based on the day’s top score.
– Sweep is only available once, and only on the same day the drill was cleared.
- Quitting
– Your reward will be based on your score when you quit.
- Mock Battle
– You can practice before you use a Drill Ticket, but you won’t earn a reward.
6. Grand Assault: Binah (Urban Warfare)
Devise unique strategies to overcome the different defense types deployed by Binah!
You can challenge Torment difficulty with an alternate defense type!

– Defeat the Grand Assault boss during the event to earn a Total Points Reward and Rank Reward.
Terrain, Attack Type (Insane and Torment only)
– Urban Warfare / Piercing
* All 3 defense types are available up to Insane difficulty. Only Special Armor is available in Torment difficulty.
* Other than the defense type, boss info and specs are the same as the existing Total Assault for each difficulty.
Participation Requirements
– Clear Normal Mission 4-5
Grand Assault Ticket Reset Time
– One Grand Assault ticket is distributed every day at 7:00 PM (UTC) for each defense type. You can own up to 7 tickets at a time.
– It costs 1 Grand Assault Ticket per defense type to enter, and you will have 1 hour to clear the boss.
– While you are fighting a boss of a certain defense type, you cannot begin a fight with a boss of a different defense type.
– Even if you lose, you can re-enter during the 1-hour time period and continue fighting.
– You can re-enter at any time within the time limit without having to use additional Grand Assault tickets.
– Even if the game closes during battle due to network or other issues, you can always re-enter the Grand Assault as long as it is within the time limit.
– Once the 1-hour time limit has passed, you cannot re-enter. The score will be calculated based on the boss’s remaining HP, and you won’t receive the Boss Clear Reward.
Available Difficulties
– There are 7 difficulties: Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Hardcore, Extreme, Insane, and Torment.
* Only Special Armor is available in Torment difficulty.
Clear Rewards
– You will earn Grand Assault Coins based on the difficulty you clear.
– The Sweep feature is available on bosses that have been cleared at least once during the season.

Rank Rewards

– In Grand Assault, you must clear a boss of each defense type at least once to rank.
– Your rank is determined by the sum of your clear scores for each type.
– You can claim Rank Rewards once the settlement period ends.
– Rank Rewards are not available unless you have cleared at least one Grand Assault.
– 10-Recruitment Tickets you own can be used until 10/31 (Thu) 2:59 PM (UTC).

Total Point Rewards
– At the end of the battle, Total Points will be determined based on the time remaining or on the boss’s remaining HP and difficulty level.
– The faster the boss is defeated, the more Total Points you earn.
– You can earn rewards based on the accumulated Total Points you earn.
– Rank Points you earn after the end of the Grand Assault Season don’t count.
– You can’t earn Rank Points and rewards once you exceed the time limit.

Reward Title
– You can earn special reward titles for clearing Grand Assault bosses on certain difficulties.
* Please check in-game for detailed reward titles.
Unit Formation
– You can use up to 4 units to face the Grand Assault boss.
– Swap units that are unavailable for battle with unused students to utilize more units.
– Students who have participated in a battle will be listed as unavailable.
– In Grand Assault, you can use any Assistants registered in the Total Assault Assistants slot by Friends or Club Members.
7. New Furniture Added
– “Mortar and Pestle” furniture item will be added.
ㄴ Furniture can be acquired through the Event Story: New Year’s Aperitif.
