A recent Genshin Impact leak has unveiled the characters that will grace the 4.8 summer event’s main story. Familiar faces from Fontaine, Sumeru, and Inazuma will gather in the new limited-time area, Simulanka. With Version 4.8 being the last update before players venture into Natlan in 5.0, the summer event is highly anticipated.

Genshin Impact’s summer-themed events are among the most exciting updates of the year. This year’s event is set to drop in Version 4.8, following the game’s tradition. Although Version 4.7 is still ongoing, several leaks for the next update have surfaced.

A reliable Genshin Impact source has shared an updated version of the Pyro Archon’s design, hinting at Natlan’s official reveal. Meanwhile, GuraLeak, a well-known Genshin Impact leaker, has shared in-game screenshots of the next summer event’s main story. The images reveal the Traveller and Paimon interacting with characters from different regions, including Wanderer (Sumeru), Navia (Fontaine), Kirara (Inazuma), and an unknown small NPC girl in a Fontaine outfit. Navia is seen without her hat in some shots, suggesting it plays a role in the storyline.

The captures also show Keqing (Liyue) joining the other characters. However, it’s possible that Keqing is a substitute for another character, possibly Nilou, who might appear in a new outfit. Rumors have hinted at the first appearance of Alice, Klee’s adventurer mother, and Durin in the update.

Version 4.8 is expected to launch on July 17, introducing Dendro 5-star character Emilie, a renowned perfumer from Fontaine. Emilie is a polearm user and will likely be the last new Fontaine character before Genshin Impact moves on to Natlan in Version 5.0.
