Valorant Patch 10.06: KAY/O Gets Flashy, Vyse Nerfed, and More!

Ever felt like your KAY/O flashes just weren’t hitting right? Or maybe you’re a Vyse main who’s been riding high on those long-lasting Razorvines? Well, buckle up, Agents—Valorant Patch 10.06 is here, and it’s about to flip your playbook upside down. Riot’s latest update is packed with Agent tweaks, performance boosts, and enough bug fixes to make even the most jaded player crack a smile. Let’s break down what’s hot, what’s nerfed, and what’s just plain wild in this patch.

KAY/O’s Flash/Drive: Now With Extra Pop!

Let’s get straight to the juice: KAY/O just got a serious glow-up. For ages, his flash was the trickiest in the game—high skill ceiling, but a brutal skill floor. Riot’s heard the cries (and the whiffs) and delivered a new mechanic that’s about to change how you play this robot menace.

  • Flash/Drive now pops 0.8 seconds after bouncing—with unique audio and visuals, so you’ll know exactly when to peek.
  • If you’re already a pop-flash god, don’t worry: the total max time from throw to pop isn’t increased. It’s just more flexible for those mid-range fights.
  • Underhand flash duration buffed from 1.25s to 1.5s. That’s more time to blind your enemies and less time for them to flame you in chat.
  • Voice line callout range increased from 20m to 50m. Now your teammates can’t say they didn’t hear you yell “FLASHING!”
  • Unequip time reduced from 0.85s to 0.6s. Faster hands, faster plays.
  • Minimap indicator added for teammates—no more accidental team flashes (well, maybe fewer).

And the cherry on top? KAY/O’s ultimate resurrection time is now just 1.5 seconds (down from 3s). That’s half the time for your squad to pick you up and twice the time for the enemy to panic.

“No more yelling at your teammate to cover you for an eternity while you res—just half an eternity now.”

Vyse and Yoru: Nerfs and Credit Crunches

Not everyone’s getting love this patch. If you’ve been abusing Vyse’s stall tactics or spamming Yoru’s Fakeout, it’s time to adapt.

Vyse

  • Razorvine duration slashed from 10s to 6s. No, not 7s—6s. (Shoutout to Reddit for catching that!)
  • Shear wall duration also cut from 8s to 6s. You’ll need to capitalize on your utility, not just stall for days.

Yoru

  • Fakeout cost doubled from 100 to 200 credits. That’s right, no more budget bamboozles every round.

Player Behavior & Performance: Cleaner, Smoother, Fairer

Riot’s not just tweaking Agents—they’re making the whole experience better:

  • Cheater reports now give more reliable feedback when your report leads to a ban. Sweet, sweet justice.
  • Sunset map CPU performance improved by reducing the number of objects ticking each frame. Translation: smoother frames, less lag, more headshots.

Bug Fixes: The Little Things Matter

This patch is a bug hunter’s dream. Here’s a taste of what’s been squashed:

  • Vyse’s Arc Rose: Fixed idle animation and cooldown bugs.
  • Raze’s Blast Pack: No more launching Skye’s Trailblazer or Tejo’s Stealth Drone through walls. (Sorry, physics abusers.)
  • Clove, Deadlock, Breach, Sova, KAY/O, Gekko, Iso, Tejo, Yoru: Tons of animation, VO, and UI fixes. Your favorite Agent just got a little less janky.
  • Premier (PC only): Fixed roster status overlaps and playoff bracket updates.

April Fools’—But Not Really

Did you hear about the four extra teleporters on Bind? Don’t panic. That was just a cheeky April Fools’ from Riot. No random teleports (yet). But hey, if you want to see more wild changes, let them know—Riot’s always lurking on socials.

What’s Next for Valorant?

Patch 10.06 is more than just a numbers game. It’s a sign that Riot’s listening, adapting, and keeping the meta fresh. KAY/O mains are about to have a field day, while Vyse and Yoru players will need to rethink their strats. And with performance and behavior updates, the grind just got a little less toxic.
