Valorant Patch 9.03: What’s New & What’s Changed?

VALORANT PATCH 9.03 IS LIVE, AND IT’S A GAME-CHANGER!

Get ready to dive back into the fray, Valorant fans! The latest patch notes are out, and they’re packed with juicy updates that’ll take your gameplay to the next level. From Agent tweaks to map fixes, Riot Games has been hard at work addressing community concerns and polishing the overall experience.

AGENT UPDATES: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE BRIMSTONE

First off, let’s talk about the agent updates. Brimstone’s Incendiary is now spreading more consistently, and only applying damage to areas covered by visuals. No more pesky fires burning out of control! Viper’s Snake Bite has also been fixed to spread more consistently, making it a more reliable choice for those tricky situations.

But that’s not all – Omen’s Ruse, From The Shadows, and Sage’s Barrier Orb have all been updated to display additional icons on the map. This is a huge quality-of-life change, making it easier to keep track of your teammates’ abilities and plan your next move.

And finally, Iso’s Kill Contract has been improved for overall effectiveness. We’re not entirely sure what this means, but we’re excited to find out!

GAMEPLAY UPDATES: THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT

Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference. Patch 9.03 brings a few gameplay updates that might seem small, but trust us, they’re game-changers.

  • No more annoying -00.00 on the defuse timer! If the Spike is defused as the round timer hits 0, the timer will now display correctly.
  • Ability icons are now visible on the minimap, making it easier to keep track of your abilities and plan your next move.
  • And finally, auto re-scoping for Outlaw, Marshall, and Operator no longer stays active while reloading. No more accidental re-scoping!

MAP UPDATES: ABYSS AND THE RANGE GET A FACELIFT

Abyss and The Range have both received updates to fix some pesky issues. In Abyss, a spot in Mid Library where thrown abilities could clip through shelves into gameplay space has been fixed. And in The Range, translation issues have been resolved.

But wait, there’s more! Agent utility can no longer be thrown off the map and used as a platform. We’re not sure who was doing this, but we’re glad it’s been fixed!

BUG FIXES: THE USUAL SUSPECTS

We all know that bugs can be the worst. Luckily, Patch 9.03 brings a slew of bug fixes to get your game running smoothly.

  • Overlapping interactable objects no longer cause issues. Yes, that’s a real thing!
  • The menu no longer resets toggle crouch or toggle walk state. Because who doesn’t love a good toggle?
  • And finally, players no longer need to hold down Tab while pressing the cursor toggle button to enable the cursor during pre-round. Phew!

CONSOLE UPDATES: PEARL JOINS THE PARTY

Console players, rejoice! Pearl has been added to Unrated and Swift Play queues. And if you were experiencing issues with pressing an Ability button while defusing the Spike, those have been fixed too.

But wait, there’s more! Harbor’s Tidal Wave no longer ends prematurely. We’re not sure what was causing this, but we’re glad it’s been fixed!

THE VERDICT: PATCH 9.03 IS A GAME-CHANGER

Patch 9.03 might not be the most flashy update, but it’s definitely one of the most important. With a slew of bug fixes, gameplay updates, and agent changes, this patch is sure to improve your overall Valorant experience.
