Wuthering Waves Update Preview: Explore New Areas, Characters, and Gameplay Features
Get ready to dive back into the world of Wuthering Waves as the developers have released a preview of the upcoming content, packed with exciting new areas, characters, gameplay features, and storylines. This highly anticipated update promises to bring a fresh wave of challenges and adventures to the game.
From the mysterious Black Shores archipelago to the unique QTE mechanics of the new Resonator Youhu, there’s plenty to look forward to in this update. Players can also expect new gameplay content, including “Portal” puzzles, special enemies, and bosses, as well as new stories and companion quests.
While there’s no specific release date announced for the new content, the developers will continue to share updates and optimization details in the future. In the meantime, players can still participate in the ongoing Moon-Chasing Festival featured event “By Moon’s Grace” for exclusive rewards and the chance to get the free 5-Star Resonator Xiangli Yao.

The Black Shores, an archipelago enshrouded in mysteries and turmoil, remains sealed away from the world in thick digital fog. It is still uncertain when or who will lift its veil, allowing it to once more shoulder the task of connecting the world.

New Resonator: Youhu
We’ve cooked up something special with our upcoming Resonator Youhu. Her Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation come with new QTE mechanics that bring a twist to combat. It’s fun, it’s unique, and we think you’re going to love it.

New “Portal” Puzzles
We are adding “Portals” to some puzzle-solving scenarios so you can hop between different areas, or even… No more spoilers, we can’t wait to see how you use them!

Complete the new collection quests in the Black Shores to unlock this little guy and other special enemies. Keep an eye out for them—they are scattered across the shores, waiting for Rovers brave enough to test their skills.
