Main Mission Early Unlock & Transmute

The Main Mission Early Unlock: Wuling is a permanent activity that becomes available after completing Chapter I Process Ⅱ: Remediation Progress. Through the Event screen, players can accept Chapter II missions and head to the Wuling region without affecting Chapter I progress. This allows simultaneous active missions from different chapters — a major boon for those eager to explore new content.

To support early exploration, most enemies in Wuling scale with your Exploration Level, and a batch of AIC facilities is unlocked and provided in advance upon placing the Protocol Automation-Core. These facilities are not usable in Valley IV until the corresponding AIC technologies are researched.

After reaching Chapter Ⅱ Process Ⅰ: Arrival at Wuling, the Transmute feature becomes available in the Crafting screen. It lets you convert high-tier materials into lower-tier ones, and consuming Sanity increases the transmutation yield. This is especially useful for material balancing during early progression.

AIC Factory Gameplay Overhaul

Conduit, Gear Assembly, and Remote Stashing

Several factory systems receive meaningful upgrades:

  • Conduit Optimization: Connection distance is now calculated based on straight-line distance, with the upper limit increased from 200m to 300m. Teleportation that would break a connection triggers a confirmation prompt. Blueprints now preserve conduit connection states, and bulk moving/copying/saving of connected inlets and outlets maintains the link.
  • Top View Mode Control: When multiple overlapping targets are selected, a pop-up list displays all facilities for precise management.
  • Production Chain Display: The chain screen now supports zooming out for a complete overview.
  • Facility Placement: Switchable mode facilities can have their mode chosen before placement.
  • AIC Factory Plan: Tech nodes with prerequisite missions now display a jump button to the relevant mission.
  • Pipe Visual Optimization: Unfilled pipes show real-time flow movement from source to endpoint.
  • Expanded Advanced Gear Assembly: Gold-quality gear can switch between different assembly techniques, each consuming different stock bills and components. New techniques are backward-compatible, and using the latest technique grants a 99% discount on stock bill consumption. Bulk change or customize per gear piece via Gear Assembly – Switch All Techniques.
  • Remote Stashing: AIC facilities placed outside Sub-PAC areas (Relay Towers, Electric Pylons, ziplines, combat facilities) can be stashed directly to the regional depot via the map.

Combat & Camera Improvements

Enemy Targeting gets a detailed overhaul: players can now customize Skill Attack Targeting Priority, Active Target Lock-on, and Assisted Target Selection separately. You can prioritize enemies that meet skill conditions or the currently locked-on target, and choose default or elite-priority lock-on. Assisted selection can prioritize movement input.

Teammate Skill Visual Effects now have adjustable quality and opacity, letting you control visual clutter during combat.

The Camera System is completely revamped. In photo mode, you can freely move operators, adjust their position and orientation, and toggle auto/manual focus. A variety of poses are available, with more operator-exclusive poses planned. New stickers add creative freedom.

Quality-of-Life & System Updates

  • Ornamental System: A dedicated management screen is added, ornamentals no longer occupy inventory capacity, and the Quick Stash feature supports one-click stashing of all placed ornamentals of the selected type in the current region.
  • Arsenal Defense Crate: Completing the operator trial event grants a set of Fully Artificed Level 60 gear suited for that operator. Once in Wuling, corresponding gear templates unlock automatically.
  • Dijiang Experience: Visiting a friend's Dijiang loads faster. Cabin upgrades can be done remotely via Control Nexus. Clue exchange duration reduced from 24h to 20h, and the Clue Library shows markers distinguishing personal and friend-collected clues.
  • Operator Artwork Viewing: Switch to 2D artwork for owned operators directly from the Operators screen.
  • ID Info Update Card: Available free every six months (and purchasable extra). Changes your in-game name.
  • Birthday Feature: Set your birthday to receive a special greeting. If the current year's birthday has passed, retroactive mail is sent. Optionally display birthday on your profile.
  • Story Dialogue Experience: Key terms now have definitions to help with lore.
  • Mission & Tag Tracking: Clicking Track now takes you directly to the Baker screen if the next step is viewing a message, or opens the map with the target location highlighted if you need to go somewhere. A Teleport button in map tag details auto-selects the nearest TP point.
  • Incident Investigation: Info display improved with investigation area prompts and comment sources.

Graphics & Technical Enhancements

PC players gain support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and AMD FSR 3 (including Super Resolution mode and Frame Generation). These options let you balance visual fidelity and frame rate based on hardware.

The PS5 Pro benefits from upgraded PSSR, enhancing image quality and clarity.

Rainy Weather Visuals on PC and PS5 now show richer character surface details — realistic raindrop adhesion and wet textures.

The Mobile Client receives storage optimization through resource consolidation, reducing overall size.

Day-1 Priorities After Update

  • Check Main Mission Early Unlock to start Wuling early.
  • Claim the Arsenal Defense Crate gear after completing the operator trial.
  • Set your Birthday and use the ID Info Update Card if desired.
  • Experiment with the new camera system in photo mode.
  • Review targeting settings in the combat menu to customize skill priority.
