Genshin Impact 7.2 Teaser: Tsaritsa Summons All Nations

HoYoverse has released a cryptic new teaser for Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled "Hour of Ruin," hinting at a major diplomatic summit in Snezhnaya. The short message, posted on the official news page, suggests that old divisions may be set aside as leaders from across Teyvat confront a shared crisis. A Summit Unlike Any Other

The teaser states: "Old divisions will not vanish with a single meeting. Yet they are willing to sit at the same table and face the crisis now upon them. For civilization, memories, emotions… none of these would have meaning without 'existence.'" This strongly implies that the Tsaritsa has summoned representatives from all seven nations, as previously reported in our 7.2 release date and banner details. The gathering appears to be a direct response to the Holy Soil phenomenon and the awakening Nails of Retribution.

Historical Context: From Liyue to Snezhnaya

Veterans will recall that Teyvat has seen pivotal summits before—the Liyue Qixing's negotiations during the Rite of Descension in Version 1.0, or the Inazuma delegation's tense arrival in Sumeru during the Akasha Pulses crisis. However, never before has the Tsaritsa openly convened all seven nations. This suggests a level of existential threat not seen since the Cataclysm 500 years ago. The mention of "existence" may also tie into Irminsul and the nature of Ley Lines, themes central to the Sumeru and Fontaine Archon Quests.

For the Min-Maxers: Planning for 7.2

While the teaser focuses on story, the practical implications for your Primogem stash are significant. Version 7.2 launches on 2026-11-04 and introduces new characters Mitya and Valeriy, according to our banner breakdown. If you're eyeing either, start budgeting now—especially with the Grand Defense event offering a free 4-star, Primogems, and a Crown of Insight (see our event guide). F2P players should prioritize based on team needs: Mitya is rumored to be a Cryo sub-DPS (unconfirmed), while Valeriy may fill a Hydro support role (unconfirmed). As always, wait for official kit reveals during the 7.2 livestream—details on that are available in our livestream coverage.

Community Chatter: Theories and Hopes

The Genshin community has already begun dissecting the teaser. On the Genshin Impact subreddit, popular theories suggest the Tsaritsa's invitation is a desperate gambit to unite against a common enemy—possibly the Second Who Came or a resurgent Abyss Order. Others point to the line about "memories and emotions" as a hint that Irminsul itself is under threat, which would explain why even Dainsleif might be forced to cooperate. Meanwhile, lore enthusiasts note that the Nails of Retribution were last mentioned in Enkanomiya lore, tying the crisis to the Primordial One. None of this is confirmed, but the stakes are clearly cosmic.

Hidden Details: The Weight of "Existence"

The teaser's final sentence—"For civilization, memories, emotions… none of these would have meaning without 'existence'"—is a philosophical nod to the game's overarching theme of erosion and forgetting. It echoes Zhongli's musings on erosion and Ei's pursuit of eternity. Could the Holy Soil be erasing existence itself? That would make the Grand Defense event's relief operations even more urgent. Keep an eye on how this connects to Snezhnaya's own history, particularly the Fatui's obsession with Delusions and Gnoses.

What to Watch For

HoYoverse has not yet released a full trailer or detailed patch notes for 7.2. The special program livestream is expected to air before 2026-11-04, and we'll have full coverage of redemption codes and banner phases. For now, the teaser confirms that Hour of Ruin will be a story-heavy patch with major geopolitical ramifications. Stay tuned to EarlyGG for verified updates.
