Zenless Zone Zero's Version 3.3 update brought a fresh slate of content, and the Spooky Funhouse Tales event is now live. For a broader look at everything in the patch, visit our Zenless Zone Zero news hub.

Event Overview

Spooky Funhouse Tales sends Proxies into a virtual reality game hosted at the HIA Club. Speak with Patsy to begin the challenge. The premise is simple: navigate a haunted house filled with tricks and surprises. While the exact gameplay mechanics are not detailed in official materials, the event is structured as a series of tasks that reward participants with Polychromes, upgrade materials, and the event-exclusive W-Engine Candlelit Scheme.

The event requires Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and completion of Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission. This makes it accessible to most players who have progressed through the early game. If you're new or returning, now is a good time to push through the required story content to unlock the event before it ends.

Rewards and What to Prioritize

The standout reward is the Candlelit Scheme W-Engine, which is exclusive to this event. Based on its name and event theme, it likely suits Anomaly-focused characters, but its exact stats and effects are not stated in official materials. Proxies should aim to claim it early, as it may be useful for upcoming builds.

Other rewards include:

• Proxy accessories: Prankster and Mischievous (cosmetic items for your profile)
• Hamster Cage Pass: a valuable resource for Bangboo upgrades
• Polychromes: premium currency for banner pulls
• Upgrade materials: for character and W-Engine progression

Given the event runs for over a month, there's ample time to complete tasks. However, don't procrastinate—the deadline is 2026-11-30 03:59 server time, and missing it means waiting for a potential rerun, which is not guaranteed.

Should You Pull? Banner Context

The Spooky Funhouse Tales event coincides with the Version 3.3 banners featuring Phoenix (Fire – Anomaly) and Velina (Wind – Anomaly). Both are new S-Rank Agents with signature W-Engines Plume of Rebirth and Joyau Dore. If you're considering pulling, the event's Polychrome rewards can help fund a few extra pulls.

For a detailed breakdown of the banner schedule and rates, see our ZZZ 3.3 update coverage. F2P players should prioritize saving Polychromes for characters that fit their roster, while low-spenders might consider the event's freebies as a buffer. The Candlelit Scheme W-Engine could be a strong option for Anomaly Agents, so it's worth evaluating after you see its stats.

What to Do Now

• Check eligibility: Ensure you've reached Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and completed Chapter 1 – Intermission.
• Start the event: Head to the HIA Club and talk to Patsy.
• Prioritize the W-Engine: Aim to unlock Candlelit Scheme early to test its synergy with your team.
• Plan your pulls: Use event Polychromes wisely; the banners for Phoenix and Velina are live now.
• Track the deadline: The event ends 2026-11-30 03:59 server time.
