All Sunni Island Strange Tales — How to Trigger & Solve
1. The Well Strange Tales
Go southeast from the ReroRero Phone Booth and interact with the well. That’s all — no time or weather restrictions.
2. Buried Sword Strange Tales
This one requires three Broken Parts of the Secret Tales of the Golden Tree. The parts appear only at nighttime, and the trees glow gold to make them easier to spot. You’ll find them at:
– Near the Shipwreck (eastern side of the island)
– Inside the Dance Party building area
– Southwest of Ms. Bulan’s location on the shore
Once you’ve collected all three broken parts, head to the isolated eastern island and combine them on the marked stone.
3. Shipwreck Strange Tales
Travel to the south of Sunward Resort and speak with Great Jerry. Choose the first dialogue option multiple times. Then go to the second floor of Sunward Resort and find Ken, who holds the Rusted Blade. Return to Great Jerry’s location and toss the sword into the bonfire.

4. The Bell Strange Tales
Head east up the hill from the resort and ring the bell. This changes the local weather but doesn’t affect the tale — just ringing it completes the Strange Tale.
5. Dance Party Strange Tales
Approach the building on the hilltop. Change the time to 10 PM (night), then use the Cubox Portable Player Walkman to enter the party. The attendant will let you in once you play music.
6. Swimming Strange Tales
Return to the ReroRero Phone Booth and head north to the shore. Speak with Ms. Bulan and her son Laut. Then swim into the ocean until your stamina depletes fully and you drown. Respawn, then talk to Ms. Bulan again to complete the tale.
7. Tunnel Strange Tales
Wait until nighttime and enter the tunnel near the center of the island. No vehicle is necessary, and the weather should be clear. The Strange Tale will trigger automatically upon entering.
8. Sunni Island Fishing Spot Strange Tales
Go to the northwestern fishing spot during morning (daytime). Speak with the two anglers nearby. To solve the tale, you must fish until you catch an anomaly banner fish — a rare catch that shows a special animation.
9. Breakwater Stone Boneyard Bonfire Strange Tales
Head to the marked spot on the beach. Find a small canoe/wooden boat with a storage box; interact with it to obtain a flintstone. Light the nearby bonfire. Then skip time to the next rainy night. A figure will appear — speak to them to finish the Strange Tale.

Final Tips
- If the Tunnel Strange Tale doesn’t trigger, try changing the weather at the Bell first or arriving without a vehicle.
- The Golden Tree parts respawn at night, so you can gather them in any order.
- Use the ReroRero Phone Booth as a central waypoint — many tales start from its vicinity.
