Genshin Impact: What Was Found, Returned Guide

The What Was Found, Returned achievement in Genshin Impact asks you to track down five lost items scattered around Downtown Novokitezhgrad and return them to their owners. It is a straightforward collection task with no combat or puzzle solving, but the items are small and easy to miss. This guide walks through each one so you can finish quickly. Overview

• Goal: Find and return five lost items to unlock What Was Found, Returned.
• Prerequisites: Access to Downtown Novokitezhgrad, which opens through story progression in Snezhnaya (see our Version 7.2 area overview).
• Estimated time: 15–25 minutes, depending on how thoroughly you search.
• Cost: None. No resin, currency, or consumables required.

Step-by-Step

The five items you need are:

1. Someone's Headscarf
2. Exquisitely Crafted Glasses
3. Old Bowler Hat
4. Delicate Corsage
5. Finely Crafted Suitcase

Each item belongs to a specific NPC in Downtown Novokitezhgrad. You can get a hint about an item's location by speaking to its owner, but that means talking to every NPC in the district. If you prefer to skip the guesswork, use the list above and search the downtown area systematically.

Finding the Items

• Someone's Headscarf: Search the streets and alleys of Downtown Novokitezhgrad. The headscarf is a small cloth item, so check near walls, benches, and market stalls.
• Exquisitely Crafted Glasses: Look for a glint on the ground. Glasses are easy to overlook among cobblestones and debris.
• Old Bowler Hat: Check ledges, crates, and other elevated spots where a hat might have blown away.
• Delicate Corsage: A small floral accessory. Scan planters, flower beds, and quiet corners.
• Finely Crafted Suitcase: The largest of the five items. Check near doorways, luggage carts, and travel points.

Exact coordinates are not stated in official materials. If you are struggling, speak to NPCs in the district to narrow down each owner's hint.

Troubleshooting

• Item not appearing: Make sure you have progressed far enough in the Snezhnaya story to access Downtown Novokitezhgrad. Some items may only spawn after certain quest steps.
• Cannot return the item: Confirm you are speaking to the correct NPC. Each item has a specific owner.
• Achievement not unlocking: Double-check that you have returned all five items. The achievement triggers only after the final turn-in.
