Genshin Impact Crystal-Tree Grotto Guide

Reaching the Crystal-Tree Grotto and the Waterway to the Falls in Genshin Impact isn't a matter of free exploration. Both locations are gated behind a specific world quest: Let Not All Rivers Run Dry. According to the source, you must trigger and complete this mission before these areas become accessible. Overview

Goal: Unlock and access the Crystal-Tree Grotto and Waterway to the Falls.

Prerequisite: Complete the Let Not All Rivers Run Dry quest.

Estimated time: Not stated in official materials. The quest involves a journey with Thrud and Glinin, so expect a short chain rather than a single step.

Cost: No currency or resin cost is mentioned in the source.

Step-by-Step

1. Trigger the quest. The source does not specify the exact trigger condition, but the quest is tied to the Novokitezhgrad region. Check your quest log for Let Not All Rivers Run Dry and track it.
2. Follow Thrud and Glinin. The mission centers on Glinin's desire to survey the water of Novokitezhgrad. Accompany them as directed.
3. Investigate the water source. The survey reveals something larger hidden by the flowing water. Follow the quest prompts to uncover it.
4. Complete the quest. Once the objective is fulfilled, the Crystal-Tree Grotto and Waterway to the Falls become accessible.

Troubleshooting

• Quest not appearing: Ensure you meet any prior exploration or story requirements in the region. The source does not list specific prerequisites beyond the quest itself.
• Cannot enter the grotto: Double-check that Let Not All Rivers Run Dry is fully completed, not just started.
• Location confusion: The Crystal-Tree Grotto is also a known farming spot for Fairy Wormwood. If you're gathering that material, see our Fairy Wormwood farming guide for route details.
