Genshin Impact Crystal-Tree Grotto Seelie Puzzle Guide

The Crystal-Tree Grotto Seelie puzzle in Genshin Impact challenges you to find three Seelie and guide them to their courts on a small island surrounded by water. Completing this task spawns a Luxurious Chest, but only if you know where to look. For more genshin-impact guides and news, visit our Genshin Impact hub.

Overview

Goal: Locate and guide three Seelie to their courts to spawn a Luxurious Chest.

Prerequisites: You must have access to the Crystal-Tree Grotto area, which requires completing the Let Not All Rivers Run Dry world quest. See our Crystal-Tree Grotto guide for how to unlock it.

Estimated time: Not stated in official materials, but expect 10–15 minutes once inside the grotto.

Reward: One Luxurious Chest (contents are randomized; not stated in official materials).

Step-by-Step

1. Reach the island: From the Crystal-Tree Grotto waypoint, head to the small island surrounded by water at the center of the grotto. You will see three empty Seelie courts.
2. Find the first Seelie: Search the immediate area around the island. The Seelie may be hidden behind rocks or inside a small cave. Use Elemental Sight to spot its trail.
3. Guide the first Seelie: Follow the Seelie at a distance; it will move slowly toward its court. Do not attack or scare it.
4. Repeat for the second Seelie: Check the eastern side of the grotto, near the water's edge. The Seelie may require you to defeat a few enemies first.
5. Repeat for the third Seelie: Look on the western side, possibly on a higher ledge. Use climbing or a wind current to reach it.
6. Claim the chest: Once all three Seelie are in their courts, a Luxurious Chest will appear on the island. Open it to collect your rewards.

Loadouts & Teams

No specific team composition is required for this puzzle. However, bringing a character with crowd control (e.g., Venti or Kazuha) can help if enemies interfere. For exploration, consider Sayu or Yelan for faster movement.

• Budget (F2P): Any team works; use Kaeya for bridge crossing and Amber for ranged puzzles.
• Optimal: Wanderer or Yelan for mobility, plus a healer like Barbara for safety.

Materials Table

This puzzle does not require specific materials. The only "cost" is time and access to the area.

Item	Source	Cadence
Luxurious Chest	Puzzle completion	One-time per save
Seelie	Exploration	One-time

Troubleshooting

• Seelie not appearing: Ensure you have completed Let Not All Rivers Run Dry. If you have, try relogging or checking nearby enemy camps.
• Seelie stuck: Move away and approach again; sometimes Seelie pause if you are too close.
• Chest not spawning: Verify all three Seelie are in their courts (glowing). If one is missing, recheck the grotto edges.
• Co-op: The puzzle can be completed in co-op, but only the host can claim the chest. Not stated in official materials whether progress is shared.
