ZZZ 3.3 Pre-Download Guide: Sizes, Times & Rewards

ZZZ 3.3 Pre-Download Is Live — Here’s What to Grab

Pre-download for Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 is now open, giving Proxies a head start before the 2026-10-21 update. The patch, titled “Journey to the Sky,” brings new Agents Phoenix and Severian, plus mech combat and fresh events. For the full picture beyond the download, see our Zenless Zone Zero news hub.

Getting the files early matters most on console, where sizes are largest. PC and mobile players can also avoid a launch-day bottleneck by downloading now. Below are the confirmed sizes, start times, and what to finish before maintenance begins.

Pre-Download Sizes by Platform

Sizes vary by platform and installed voice packs. The figures below are from the official pre-download notice.

Platform	Approx. Size
PC	6 GB
Mobile (Android/iOS)	5 GB
PS5 / PS5 Pro	14 GB
Xbox Series X	S

Voice Pack installations can increase the space required. Clear room before starting, especially on Xbox, where the download is more than four times the mobile size.

How to Start the Pre-Download

PC

Open the HoYoPlay Launcher and click the Pre-Download icon next to Start Game. PC players can keep playing while files download.

Mobile (Android and iOS)

Open the game and tap Pre-Download Resources in the bottom-right corner. Mobile players cannot play during the download, so plan around a session break.

PS5 and PS5 Pro

Launch Zenless Zone Zero. If storage is sufficient, the pre-download begins automatically after a period of time. You can continue playing during the download.

Xbox Series X|S

Launch the game and let the automatic pre-download start, or go to My games & apps > Manage > Updates on the Xbox dashboard. Playing is allowed during the download.

Maintenance Window and Compensation

Version update maintenance begins 2026-10-21 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated to take five hours. Login will be unavailable during this period.

The 300 Polychrome server update compensation is available to Proxies who reach Inter-Knot Lv. 4 before maintenance starts. It arrives via in-game mail after the update and must be claimed before the end of Version 3.3. If you are close to Inter-Knot Lv. 4, finish that push now.

Pre-Patch To-Dos

• Spend your stamina before maintenance so it is not capped during downtime.
• Claim mail and event rewards that expire with the patch.
• Check storage against the table above, particularly on Xbox.
• Finish any Inter-Knot Lv. 4 push to qualify for compensation.
• Review your pull plans for Phoenix and Severian; see our 3.3 launch overview for what’s coming.

Day-1 Priorities After the Update

Once servers are live, update through your platform’s store or launcher, then check mail for the 300 Polychrome. New story content and the mech combat mode are the headline additions, with Phoenix and Severian arriving as new S-Rank Agents. For a closer look at the roster, read our Phoenix and Severian reveal breakdown.

Banner phases, rates, and event reward totals are not stated in official materials beyond what the Special Program covered. Treat any schedule circulating outside official channels as Unconfirmed — subject to change.

The Takeaway

Pre-download is a storage and timing decision more than anything else. Xbox and PS5 players should start earliest; mobile players should pick a window when they can step away. The 300 Polychrome is a small but easy win if you are already at Inter-Knot Lv. 4. For ongoing coverage, keep an eye on our ZZZ updates and the 3.3 Special Program recap.
